FORW was established with a simple objective: to create a logistics company focused on creating value for its customers through people, technology, and honest collaboration.
The company was founded in 2008 by Jacob Schultz, who remains our Founder and CEO to this day. From the very beginning, FORW has been a privately owned Danish company designed to let our teams focus on what matters most; delivering high-quality, value-creating service to our customers.
What began in Denmark quickly expanded. Sweden was established in 2009, followed by Norway in 2011. Over time, we strengthened our foundation through AEO certification, IATA approval, and the acquisition of J. Henningsen Shipping in 2016, improving our capabilities and enabling us to even better serve our customers.
As our customers’ needs evolved, so did we. In 2020, FORW became an official EU trademark and expanded its Danish presence with the opening of a second office in Odense – followed by our own logistics hub in 2021. In 2023, we opened a new 4,000 m² logistics hub in Broendby, expanding our logistics capabilities even further.
Technology has always been at the heart of what we do. We continuously invest in smart digital solutions that improve transparency, efficiency, and oversight across the supply chain.
And our journey continues. In 2025, we opened an office in Aalborg — another step forward, driven by strong relationships, curiosity, and the belief that good logistics don’t just move goods, they move businesses forward.
